ROM Settings Window
ROM Mesh⚓︎
Defines the maximum number of beam elements used for suspension springs
- A very small number of beam elements is usually sufficient to calculate mechanical properties.
- A larger number is often applied to plot smooth bending lines of deformed springs for documentations.
- Default = 10
Element Size for Spring ROM⚓︎
Defines the default length of beam elements in suspension springs
- The number of elements can be changed for individual springs by the SPRI command.
- Default = 1 (Units of length, e.g. µm)
Reduction Stage⚓︎
Defines the default reduced-order-model (ROM) reduction stage for simulations
- Possible settings are: Quasi-Analytical and Finite-Element
- The reduction stage can be changed by the REDS command for subsequent simulation runs.
- Default = Quasi-Analytical
Activate Modal Superposition⚓︎
Activates the modal superposition solver (MSUP) for simulations
- The modal superposition solver can also be activated by the MSUP command for subsequent simulation runs.
- Default = on
Number of Modes for Modal Superposition⚓︎
Specifies the number of eigenmodes for the modal superposition solver
- The lowest mode in the specified set will be basic functions of the simulation model.
- Default = 20
